Biography Edit[]
Su Fei was a commander of warlord Liu Biao, lord of Jing Province. When Gan Ning came in from Liu Yan's Forces, he made fast friends with him and fought alongside each other. Though Gan Ning was fourteen when Sun Jian invaded Jingzhou, the two of them fought against the invaders at Xiangyang Castle. At Xiakou, he was defeated by Ling Tong in a duel. Also, Gan Ning was wounded in battle. Su Fei told Sun Quan to spare Gan Ning, as he was a capable warrior and he did not want to see his friend die. Both were pressed into Sun Quan's ranks and fought at Chi Bi. Su Fei was appointed to defend the prayer ceremony by Zhuge Liang, which was to blow the southeast winds to spread the fire from the fire attack. Su Fei succeeded in routing Xu Huang and the other attackers, and carried out the plan. In 211, he fought at the Battle of Nanjun, where he fought alongside Gan Ning yet again, except this time he was appointed as a strategist. He fought again at the Battle of He Fei, in 215-218, which most of Sun Quan's officers served in. Afterwards, he was appointed Chief Controller.
